Dublin taxi driver repeatedly stabbed in carjacking attack

A Dublin taxi driver was assaulted and stabbed several times before his attackers stole his car and drove off this weekend.
The driver picked up two men at about 3am on Saturday morning outside a fast food restaurant at Airside Retail Park, Swords.
He drove the two a short distance to the Pavillions Roundabout where he was assaulted and stabbed a number of times.
The taxi driver managed to escape from the car and raise the alarm while his attackers drove off in the taxi in the direction of the M1.
It is understood the taxi - a 10-D registered grey Ford Mondeo - was driven north along the M1 towards Balbriggan after the attack. It was later located burnt out near Bellewstown, Co Meath.
