Breaking News: COME FROM AWAY Lands Its Home on Broadway!



Junkyard Dog Productions announced today that the new musical Come From Away will begin performances on Broadway on Saturday, February 18, 2017 at the Gerald Schoenfeld Theatre (236 West 45th Street) and officially open Sunday, March 12, 2017, following productions at Washington DC's Ford's Theatre (Friday, September 2 - Sunday, October 16, 2016) and Toronto's Royal Alexandra Theatre (Tuesday, November 15, 2016 - Sunday, January 8, 2017), and two special benefit concert performances in Gander, Newfoundland (Saturday, October 29, 2016).

beginningTuesday, October 11, 2016. American Express Card Members can purchase tickets before the general public beginning Tuesday, October 11 at 10am EST through Tuesday, October 18 at 9:59am EST by visiting www.telecharge.com or calling 212.239.6200.
Beginning Tuesday, October 18, 2016 at 10am EST, Come From Away tickets will be available throughAudience Rewards (www.AudienceRewards.com), The Official Rewards Program of Broadway & the Arts™. Members of the program will be able to purchase tickets and earn Audience Rewards Bonus ShowPoints throughMonday, October 24 at 9:59am EST.
Tickets will go on sale to the general public beginning Monday, October 24, 2016 at 10am EST, and will be available at www.telecharge.com (212.239.6200).
Tickets range from $47 - $157 (including the $2 facility fee).
Beginning Saturday, February 18, the playing schedule for Come From Away is as follows: Tuesday throughSaturday at 8pm, with matinees on Wednesday and Saturday at 2pm and Sunday at 3pm. Beginning Tuesday, March 13, the playing schedule is as follows: Tuesday and Thursday at 7pm, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday at 8pm, with matinees on Wednesday and Saturday at 2pm and Sunday at 8pm. Please note: There will be two performances onSunday, February 19 at 2pm and 7pm. There will be no 2pm matinee on Wednesday, February 22.

With a book, music and lyrics by Canadians Irene Sankoff & David Hein, Come From Away is directed by Tony Award nominee Christopher Ashley (Memphis), choreographed by Tony Award nominee Kelly Devine (Rocky), with music supervision by Ian Eisendrath (A Christmas Story), scenic design by Tony Award winner Beowulf Boritt (Act One), costume design by Tony Award nominee Toni-Leslie James (Jelly's Last Jam), lighting design by two-time Tony Award winner Howell Binkley (Hamilton), sound design by Tony Award nominee Gareth Owen (End of the Rainbow), orchestrations by Tony Award nominee August Eriksmoen (Bright Star), music arrangements by Ian Eisendrath and casting by Telsey + Company.
In a heartbeat, 38 planes and 6,579 passengers were forced to land in Gander, Newfoundland, doubling the population of one small town on The Edge of the world.
On September 11, 2001 the world stopped. On September 12, their stories moved us all.
Following sold-out, record-breaking, critically acclaimed world premiere engagements at La Jolla Playhouse and Seattle Repertory Theatre and presented in 2016 by Ford's Theatre, Come From Away landed on the "Best Theater of 2015" lists in the Los Angeles Times, Seattle Times, San Diego Union Tribune, and Times of San Diego. Charles McNulty of the Los Angeles Times called the show "An affecting, stirring and unpretentious new musical. Christopher Ashley's production lets the simple goodness of ordinary people outshine sensational evil," and Bob Verini of Varietyraved, "Superb! Canadians Irene Sankoff and David Hein have forged a moving, thoroughly entertaining tribute to international amity and the indomitable human spirit." Peter Marks of the Washington Post called Come From Away, "a heartwarming, compelling and refreshing musical packed with goodwill. The score has an infectious vitality. My heart leaped several times."
